I’m here in Ulaanbaatar. It’s less than two days before I’m scheduled to fly home. Yesterday, we finished all the paperwork. I got address verification done in the neighborhood government office, then took all of that the the attorney’s office in the town center. We spent about an hour finishing opening up the business bank account. I paid the last part of what I owe the attorneys for that work. So, the business is officially established, and my resident permit application has been submitted. However, since I came to Mongolia on an investor (B-1) visa, I cannot leave the country before the residence permit is issued. If I do, I have to start the residence permit application process over again. The attorney said I will probably not have it until July the end of July (today is the 8th). I was hoping to go home Friday (the 10th). Naadam is the second largest holiday in Mongolia, and government offices don’t work that week. Naadam is next week, so that pushes out my permit’s processing time. We are praying the permit will get processed in time. I know it’s a miracle Heavenly Father is capable of, but I’m not sure what His will is. I miss my family, I have told my job I would only be gone this week, and trips get expensive.
