We had a nice quiet Christmas at home. We didn’t get a ton of pictures, but started some new traditions this year, including drawing names for each other and chasing around Walmart to get the perfect gift for our person with our allowance money, our last minute Christmas card picture that turned out really well considering, and spending Christmas day at home again. We also got a new Christmas tree before the season was out. Too bad we can’t use the same tree again next year. Winking smile

Matthew found out how much fun a cold shower with clothes on can be. He and his dad were playing around and this is how it ended up. I think he had fun but was a little embarrassed by it.

The day after Christmas we traveled down to Rexburg to attend the wedding of my sister Hannah and her new husband Nic. It was a fun, crazy, stressful, beautiful time. We wouldn’t have missed it. And I know I’m not wrong in saying my mom is happy to have the holidays over for that reason. And even more so because. . .

My brother Paul also got married a few days later to his new wife Kylie. It was special treat to have my Uncle Paul be the sealer for this wedding. It was so fun to see everyone, it was a whirlwind, and I hardly got any pictures! Thanks, Rach, for sharing yours!

Paul & Kylie

The night after all the wedding were over, those of us who could, went and walked through temple square with the lights. It was probably one of the best parts of this trip for me. I will never forget it. Oh, how I dislike living so far away from my dear sisters (Jamie, this includes you. I don’t really think of you as an in-law at all.)!!!!!! And oh, how I can’t wait to get to know Kylie better! I love having lots of sisters!

On the drive home the next day, Lucy was on a role with a certain song. It kind of reminded me of the Christmas version of the song that never ends. Until it ended. So funny.

What I thought was on to ride like a horse on open sleigh- ay!
