I was tagged by a friend and thought it would be fun to answer these questions.
1.If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why?
I would go to Mongolia. That is where Tom served his mission and I have heard a lot about it. Plus, it sounds like my kind of place. I love wide open spaces and roughing it.
2.If you could travel in time to any place or to meet any person, where would you go or who would you meet?
I would meet my Grandma Chadwick. She passed away before my mom got married and I just think it would be so great to get to know her. From all I have heard about her, she was an amazing woman, someone that I would like to get to know.
3.What is your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday is definitely Christmas. There is just a feeling in the air. And for me it is not about the presents, although now that I’m a mom it is so fun to see my kids open their gifts. I just love the little things about that time of year. The kindness in everyone’s heart, the feeling of excitement in the air, and also that so much of our lives are centered around being more Christlike. I love the little things, too. The little traditions my growing little family has started are the best.
4.What is your favorite food?
Wow. That is really hard to answer. I would have to say yogurt. If there is one thing I think I could eat for every meal and every snack and still not get sick of it, it would be yogurt. I make it homemade to cut down on the cost, since it seems our whole family is pretty fond of it, as well.
5.If you had $5,000 to spend on anything you want (for fun), what would you do with it?
I have a really hard time buying things for myself. I think I have more fun buying things for other people. I would probably spend it on things I know my family wants (to me this is fun!) and with the leftovers, buy myself some new clothes.
6.What was the most treasured gift that you’ve ever received?
For me, it wasn’t so much the gift, but how the giver went about giving it to me, although I do use it very much. A few years back, Tom earned up the money doing odd jobs to get me a music holder for my piano so I couldn’t track it in the bank and it would be a surprise. Thinking about that still makes me smile for quite a while.
7.Who is one of your greatest heroes? Why?
President Thomas S. Monson, the president and prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is always serving and helping others and has such a positive outlook. He is someone I would like to be like.
8.Which animal is your favorite? Why?
I love cats and dogs both, but recently found out I am allergic to dogs. 🙁 No offense to the dogs, just can’t have them for pets really. So I guess I would have to go with cats. I do love that they are independent, still need affection, but are pretty easy otherwise (litter training etc. ).
