My sister Rebecca, her husband Michael and their sweet little baby Jacob recently moved across the country and we were lucky enough to be their first pit stop. Before they came I stayed up way too late burning the midnight oil finishing this. . .
I was a little slow finishing it. I think I better give myself a little more time next time I decide to do something similar for someone else. Either that or not have four months of morning sickness to slow me down. I was doing a pretty good pace until then. Oh, well. Better late than never, right?
Here is the sweet little munchkin. Matthew held him for a couple of minutes before he had to go to school and the whole time he kept saying, “Oh, I hope I have a brother! He is so cute!” It was pretty fun thinking that in a few months we will have a wee one. Oh, but they grow up way too fast, right Beck?
Lucy reading Elmo to baby Jacob. She has come a long way. She has really been jealous when I hold babies. I think it is worse when they are closer to her own age. We are trying to break her in the best we can so it is not such a hard transition when her little brother comes.
And here is a picture taken by Beck. That’s why little Jacob’s head is not in the picture. Michael was outside unloading and putting together a little playhouse/slide and picnic table that they brought along that we had left behind in one of our moves a while back. Thank you, Uncle Michael. Lucy still talks about you when she goes out to play in the backyard.
We had a wonderful time visiting and holding Baby Jacob. Maybe we will make a trip out to see the Joneses next summer or the year after!
