This post is a little belated, as are the rest of the ones I will be posting soon. And the video we took has a little more of the festivities related to birthdays—blowing out candles, etc. and I will be adding that a little later. We had a great little party. We invited our bestest friends in town and had cake and ice cream. All the kids enjoyed our sand box and they took turns burying each other. It was a fun day for all of us. I made way too much cake though and after having two cakes for my birthday (Matthew made one for me and Tom bought one for me because he didn’t know Matthew was going to make one.) we were pretty tired of cake. Oh, and Matthew decided that he needed to make Jenny’s birthday extra special and asked me if I could take him to the dollar store to buy Jenny many gifts with his allowance. I think the one she liked the best was the turtle you put in water and it grows to something like six times its original size. Aunt Becky sure started something when she gave Matthew growing spiders for his birthday years ago.
