For the past while we have been planning a big camping trip in the mountains outside Laramie. This last weekend we packed up our gear and headed up. We prepared tinfoil dinners ahead of time and these turned out great over our wet-wood fire (we have had much rain in the last few weeks). You can see Matthew in this picture “roasting” his Dorito over the fire. I’m not sure what this really accomplished, but it was fun for the kids to pretend.

Here you can see the kids posing for the camera man. I think they received inspiration for the above pose from the camera man himself.
Lucy wasn’t exactly her best self on this trip. We recently discovered she has allergies in the spring. Yes. It is now spring in Laramie. She wasn’t awful. At least not until we all climbed into the tent and tried to sleep. Needless to say, by the break of dawn the next morning, we were ready to pack up and go home. Let me sum up our feelings with the next picture.
Let’s just say we won’t be going camping again overnight until Lucy is a BIT older. We made some good memories though, right? And that was the point.
