I think I will start with some of the cutest things that Lucy has been saying lately. I don’t have any pictures posted of her this time, but I have to document some the funny things she says.
She is constantly saying, “Mommy, I’m happy!” And she also says, “Hooray!” when something goes her way. Anotherone is when I ask her hold old she is, she says, “I’m two and I’m wonderful and I’m happy.” She is a very happy girl and she tells the world through her words and her actions.
Last night we were driving to the church and Lucy knew that was where we were going. We took a different route than usual and she started crying while saying, “I want to go to the church!” We had to reassure her that we were indeed still going to the church, just a different way. The moon was out bright and full and she started talking about how big and white the moon was. Tom asked her if she wanted to go the moon and she replied, “No, I want to go to the church!”
The other night at dinner she started doing the whine-that-means-she-wants-something so Tom said to her, “Lucy, we don’t know what you want. Say words.” So of course what did she do? She said, “Words.” We started laughing and she wanted us to keep laughing at her so she said, “I like stinky diapers. And I like clean diapers, too.” Another really cute thing she says is “or sumfin” (something). She can say most any word we have her repeat (even Snufulupugus), but she has habits of saying things wrong from months ago. She calls pajamas “sajamas.” Yellow is “lellow” and breakfast is “bess-us.”
Onto another cute girl in our house. For Christmas we got the two older kids scooters. This showed up on the wall a few weeks after Christmas.
Just a couple cute pictures of Tommy being held. He is 3 and a half weeks old in these next couple pictures.
And here is one of him doing a half smile. Oh, what a little sweety! Just in the last couple of days he really loves having little smiling contests with us and also started trying to talk to us. Of course he just makes little vowel sounds, but it is so precious to see him responding to us talking to him. He LOVES any kind of physical contact and is soothed very easily.
These next two I took just tonight. I can’t believe he is five and a half weeks already. It is one of those things I guess. Although I can remember our family before he was born, if feels like I have had him forever.
