I just need to post a couple of things Jenny has said before I forget. At the beginning of this month we were talking about New Year’s resolutions. Jenny came up with this one on her own. She said, “I promise to be 6.” I don’t think she will let that resolution slip. 🙂
“Mom, I recommend you give me a snack.” I guess in her mind that was a nice way of asking, her understanding of recommend. She did have to ask me the REALLY polite way. I don’t want her starting to think that she can ask her teacher or anyone else in that way. Pretty funny, though.
To preface this, I have to tell you that in our home, Jenny is the hug monster. She loves giving hugs. Well the other day in the car she said, “Matthew, you are the best brother ever. I am never going to give you a hug again. ” And the interpretation is, “Matthew, I love you so much and I know you don’t like me hugging you so much, and because I love you so much, I won’t hug you ever again and that will make you happy. “
She has quite the sense of humor. She must have learned this from Tom. 🙂 The other day at dinner she said, “Dad loves anything in tortillas. Dad would you like some paint in your tortilla?”
I will have to start writing down some of the other things she says. I forget them so quickly. Love that Jenny Wren. 🙂
