Lucy has loved Sesame Street and all of the characters and monsters since she started talking. And of course, Elmo is her favorite. And somehow, over the course of the last year, Elmo has become her imaginary friend. For example, the other day when she was saying the blessing on the food, she stopped halfway through and said, “Elmo, you need to get reverent!” Then she started over. She really plays it up. Elmo is her pal when Tommy is taking a nap or I am doing something that she is not interested in. She likes to do a lot of things that I do and recently she realized she can fold laundry, too. IF the laundry is in the shape of a quadrilateral. One day I was folding clothes, which aren’t usually shaped like a square or a rectangle, and Lucy wanted to help. So I got out my old cleaning rags that I stuff into a bag and she was folding them. You will have to watch the video to know the rest of the story.
