We had some special visitors right after Taivan was born. My brother Ben and his wife Jamie (I claim her as my sister even though she is my sister-in-law) and their kids stayed with us for a couple of days. It was so fun to catch up, especially since they were unable to make it to the reunion this year because of scheduling conflicts and life. This picture is one afternoon we spent out at a little fun cabin on the Wood River. I love how you can see the adults’ shadows in the picture. All our kiddos except Taivan.
And a picture of Taivan sleeping. Such a peaceful shot.
We spent the family reunion for my side of the family by Bear Lake this year. Super fun.
Tommy loved the shallow water and fun sand.
Lucy enjoyed kicking the water.
Grandma & Grandma and the Davis family
We had so much fun, we wore ourselves out.
Even Lucy got tired out.
And Aunt Coyote even got tired of holding Taivan. Wait. I mean she got tired while holding Taivan.
The next day we hiked into a mountain lake. Jenny took the pictures of this event since I had my hands a little full. Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that Tom couldn’t come because he was busy getting everything technology ready for school to start. Probably the busiest time of year for him at work.

Thanks to Aunt Becky and Uncle Michael for their help on this hike. We sure had fun!
And we saw some beautiful things.
We also hit up the local fair and the kids went on a couple of rides. I didn’t get pictures, but Aunt Hannah was a trooper going on the mixer in the same seat as Jenny and Matthew and getting squished to the point of pain.
Don’t know what I would do without these older kids helping out so much.
Next we went back to Rexburg on our way home and played with cousins some more. And also canned over 100 quarts of applesauce in one day. [Insert craziness and over-exhaustion]. We did have a lot of fun and make a lot of memories. And applesauce.
