We traveled to Rexburg for the first annual Richard Pieper Family Reunion. We kicked off the festivities by celebrating Jamie’s birthday in true American Chinese style. We made a huge dinner of Chinese food. It was very yummy, but with so many people, that food sure disappears way faster than it can be prepared!

The next super exciting part was welcoming Paul home from Uruguay. Wow. How has two years gone by so quickly? Since Paul left on his mission five new people have joined our family—Lucy, Isaiah, Zachary, & Jacob were the baby arrivals and Michael is Paul’s newest brother-in-law. It was so great to see him again and get reacquainted with him. Lucy still doesn’t know quite what to think of “Uncle Paulie” but I’m sure she will come to know him just as Jenny did when Beck came home from her mission.

Next, all of the adults were able to attend the temple with Peter when he went through the temple for the first time as he is preparing to leave on his mission to Edmonton Alberta Canada in a couple months.

DSC00476 We tried our hand and our patience taking some family pictures out at the sand dunes. The weather wasn’t very cooperative in the beginning as you can see from the first picture. It was starting to rain and the wind was blowing sand in our eyes. Thankfully the rain stopped, but the wind was still somewhat of a nuisance. This is the best picture I think, and with some talented photoshopping, will be perfect. 🙂

While we were there, all the guys (almost) hiked into Yellowstone and the girls stayed home and did pedicures, played at the park with the kids, went shopping, watched a chick flick and had fun just sitting around chatting. It was great to see everyone and be together for a while!
