The weekend of Tommy’s blessing went by like a whirlwind! Or wait. A blizzard. Smile My family drove over from Idaho (an eight-hour drive with no stops) to support us and to see little Tommy. They showed up Friday evening around 7:00. After checking the weather Saturday morning, they realized they better leave Saturday afternoon if they were going to beat a snowstorm coming in. We were all very disappointed to say the least. It was nice to see everyone for a little while, especially my sister Rebecca who was visiting with her sweet little boy from Wisconsin. We made the most of our time together. We talked and chatted and went and played basketball in the church gymnasium together before they had to take off again. And less than 24 hours since their arrival, too! Although they didn’t stay long, we appreciate their willingness to drive so far to see us and show their support. We love and miss you all! Even though my family wasn’t able to make it for the actual blessing, our good friends were there, or at least those who weren’t sick. Thanks Brendan and Caitlin!

This is a  picture I took of my brother Paul with Jacob and Tommy while my family was here. Pretty precious.

Sunday morning before church I was lucky to catch Tommy awake and in a very happy mood. So I took some great pictures of our handsome little boy. I wasn’t even trying to get him to smile in these pictures.

After a while though he started getting tired of all the flashes. I think this picture shows from his face that he had had enough pictures at this point.

He must have been getting tired.

With his proud daddy. Two very handsome guys.

And of course with his mommy. Tommy is almost two months in these pictures.
