We are going to be home-owners!

I am very, very excited about this bit of news. It is the craziest thing ever, actually. We started looking for homes last Thursday and Tom called and got us pre-approved for a loan. Then we found a couple of houses that we liked and were in our price range on Friday. On Saturday we wanted to look at these houses and when we were looking to find the addresses, we noticed the price had fallen on one of the houses. So we were getting pretty excited. I am lucky to have a good friend who is the in the real estate business (Caitlin, you are awesome, BTW!) and I spent all day Monday on the phone (and Caitlin did, too) trying to figure out how to get a bid in before the closing date (yesterday). So then yesterday, we looked at the inside of the house for the first time, placed our bid and filled out the stack of paperwork. And they told us we would know by Friday. Caitlin called today and told me that they accepted our bid and I am so very excited! Yay! I know we have a few hurdles still in the way, but we are on our way!
