Hyrum AKA Hy-Hy

This boy has so much personality and he shows a lot of it with his facial expressions. One that you might see first is probably a furrowed brow as this is the face he gives people he doesn’t know well. My favorite is his smile. When he smiles, his face lights up just like the the objects he loves–lights, stars, and moons. Also when he hears something that he likes, he shows a lot of excitement. His eyes get so big and he starts jumping and it the best! He absolutely loves fans or anything that spins like a fan. It is definitely his favorite thing to talk about. His favorite phrases are “Where’s the (blank. . .fan, light, moon)?” or “Where’s (person. . . Daddy, Tai Tai, Tom, Naeni, Carkey, I-do, Jackie, Mommy, Jejjy, Ma-mu, Ee-uh)? He also knows names for many of our family close by. Rachel, Jamie, Benny, Lincoln, Will, Evy, Ivy, to name a few. He loves to connect to people by playing games. Some of his favorite games are peek-a-boo, chase, rough-housing with Dad, tickling, and Yi-yi (standing on Dad’s hands). He already takes care of Jackie and a bunch of times when Jacki has sneaked outside, he has come to me and said, “Where’s Jackie?” He is a quick little runner and when he starts going, I can hardly catch him if he gets too far ahead. When he runs, he looks just like a football player because he is moving his arms the way you see someone carrying a football. He is a snuggler and it is so fun to hold him when he wraps one of his little arms around my neck and rests his head on my shoulder. He is a bit more of a daddy’s boy, but I love this sweet boy so much!!
