Just jumping on here to share a few of my feelings at present. We are still moving forward with what we know–that we need to go to Mongolia. We are not sure on the how. We have purchased tickets in August. We all have passports. We are trying to downsize. There are many of what seem like obstacles–how to get visas for our whole family and what to do to provide for our family once we get there are some of the biggest ones. But I know the only reason we are going to Mongolia is because we feel called to go. And the process has happened over many years, preparing our hearts, minds and souls to be ready to go. We have talked about the possibility with our children for many years. We have each had separate experiences where the Spirit has witnessed to us that this is where we need to go. We are choosing to go because we want to follow God and He knows infinitely more than we know. We have absolutely loved Kansas and the people that surround us here from pretty much the moment we arrived, not to mention the family and friends that have joined us since then. We have so many formative experiences here that have shaped us and built us up and helped to be ready for this experience to come. There are so many elements at play here, so many things that we don’t exactly understand now that we will understand later looking back. For now, we are trying to stay close to God and we are doing the things we know He wants us to do. He is giving us small things to do and ideas to do other things and to ask certain questions, and to reach out to certain people and so many other cogs working behind the scenes that we could never orchestrate on our own. It is so beautiful to see how in His way and time, these small and simple things work together not only for our good, but for the good of His children. I am learning so many things in this process. I know He is in the details of my life and yours and that He will help us unfold our own destiny in such a beautiful way in the end. The story we have to share of how we reach this destiny will all be unique and there will be challenges and heartbreak and learning and growth and experience and knowledge and wisdom and trust and faith gained through all of it. I am grateful to have a knowledge of God’s goodness and His over-arching plan and purpose of life. It gives me direction and purpose as I navigate through the intricacies of this experience and this life.
