We will miss you, Elder Pieper!
My brother Peter will be leaving for the Canada Edmonton Mission in a week. We were lucky as could be to have Pete stop in a couple weeks ago when he was in town and spend a couple of hours with him. They were hours that better last us for two years. We did have

“Wooding”
Growing up with a wood stove to heat our house, I have very fond memories of “going wooding” every fall (and into the winter sometimes it seemed). So when Tom told me that the Elder’s Quorum in our ward asked for volunteers to help split 40 cords of wood, I told him it sounded like

Imaginations
Some random pictures of my kids and what they come up with sometimes. I’m not sure what they are dressed up like. I wish I could remember what they told me at the time. I think Matthew must be remembering how cold it gets in the winters here. Or maybe not. And Jenny on a

So I am a little slow at posting updates lately, but we found out we are having a boy! Yeah! Matthew was so excited when I told him. He had just walked in the door from school and Lucy was finishing up her nap. Matthew screamed so loud and jumped up and down so much

Where did all the big kids go? And other random stuff.
I guess now that school started almost two weeks ago for my kids, summer is officially over. We did have a good time together. Lucy had a hard time the first couple of days the older kids were in school. She would call their names and then go running through the house to find them,

Our final vacation of the summer
We traveled to Rexburg for the first annual Richard Pieper Family Reunion. We kicked off the festivities by celebrating Jamie’s birthday in true American Chinese style. We made a huge dinner of Chinese food. It was very yummy, but with so many people, that food sure disappears way faster than it can be prepared!
